DSU Scholarship Announced

Hello EveryOne. This Post is only for the students coming to the Toscana Region, Italy. This region includes the University of Siena, University of Florence, University of Pisa, University for Foreigners Siena.

What includes in this scholarship? 

This scholarship includes the following amenities,

1. Tuition Fee (so you won't have to worry about your University Fee)
2. Accommodation ( The DSU will provide accommodation in one of their dorm, free of cost)
3. Free Food   (You would be able to access the DSU kitchen Lunch and Dinner free of cost)
4. Stipend (in Toscana region, the Stipend is 800euros per semester, so you could buy books, etc

Who is Eligible?

everyone is eligible for this scholarship who cannot support or sponsor their studies of who doesn't have enough financial means. This scholarship doesn't require any IELTS, GMAT or GRE or any sort of test. However, your education must not exceed 18years, if you are applying for master studies. this means that if you have done the Master already in your country and you have applied for a master degree course in Italy then you are not eligible, in this case, you will have to apply for Ph.D.

What documents are required?

There are only a few and simple documents to prepare to get this scholarship, they are as follows,

(please note that the DSU may ask you additional documents, the first three documents are for Pakistan only, for other countries, please contact DSU before the deadline).

1. Income Certificate ( not salary slip but income certificate from your country's tax collecting agency on their letterhead. showing your or your father's or your guardian previous year gross income. if you have more than one family member income, include them or make income certificate for them as well.
2. Family registration certificate or family component certificate which shows all the family members in your family and their marital status.
3. Property of Rent certificate, if your Guardian or you own some property or if you or living in a rented house you will have to make a rent certificate for it on Tehsildar letterhead. or the authority in your country controlling land and rent.
4. if any of your family member is studying, provide their study certificate.

please note that if you are applying for 2019/2020 scholarship then you have to produce 2018  documents, all documents must have 2018 date on it. (Previous Year)

What is Procedure?

For Pakistani Students, the procedure is as follows, 

1. Prepare the above documents and attest them from Ministry of Foreign office.
2. create an online account with DSU fill out the application and print it. don't forget to sign it.
3. the 3rd step is to attest and translate your documents from the Pakistani embassy in Rome or any consulate, depending upon your region. the Pakistani embassy charges 10euros for attestation and 10 euros for translation.
4. Then you have to buy a stamp called "Marca da Bola" it is an Italian tax stamp and cost 16euros each, so if you have 3 documents you have to buy 3 Marca da Bolas, and do not paste them on your documents, take them to the "Perfatura" or it is like the local courtroom. they will take your documents and the Marca da bola, and will past and stamp it on your documents. this process will take about 10 minutes, after this, you are all set to go.
5. submit your attested and translated documents along with the DSU filled and signed the application in the DSU office.

you should go early in the morning to the Pakistani embassy so you can get your documents in the evening, otherwise, you would have to wait for the next day.

if you don't have a study visa yet. you may have to send the documents to any of the senior along with the cost so that they can process your application.

students from other countries like India, Gana, etc have to follow the Guidelines on the DSU website, the process is a bit different for them, all they have to do is submit the documents with their embassy and the embassy will process everything for them. for further clarification please contact your embassy and DSU office of your respective region.

What is the Cost of it?

There is no fee for filling the DSU scholarship application, however, there are other costs you have to consider.

1.  16euros for each Marca da bolo, if you have 3 documents 3x16=48euros.
2. 60 euros for translation and attestation of 3 documents.
3. Travel expenses might vary.

the total cost might vary, depending upon your country and number of Documents you have.

What is the Deadline?

The deadline for the scholarship vary every year, that is why for the acurate deadline you have to visit the official page, Click Here. the deadline for 2019/2020 is 30th August.
